I styled the dress with a different belt I had purchased as well as some faux fur and a tail to give a viking look. It's very comfy and has pockets. It's a great dress to wear to any sort of events. I personally wear it to a local Viking fest. With me being on the bigger size, it's really nice to find a dress that fits well.
This is my favorite dress! The braided trim around the hem makes it hang so beautifully and the sash wraps the waist nicely. One thing: even though I wash these dresses in cold water and hang dry, they WILL shrink. I’ve been buying them in Tall, and it takes care of the problem.
I love this dress! I needed something lightweight for summer Renaissance Faires and Viking events that I vend at. All I previously owned was thick cotton canvas winter garb. This dress is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. I bought the Petite Large in Vintage Grey. I’m 5’ 3” and the length is perfect. I wear a 36 D and it is a little snug in the bust area but can still be worn comfortably. It is very roomy in the hips, waist and sleeve areas. The belt is really long, but not long enough to double wrap. I can wear it by itself or with my Viking apron dress over it. I also like that you can wear it with or without the belt. I may purchase another one in green or navy.
I really love this dress. It's very comfy, easy to move around in, and the design is nice. I especially like the design around the sleeves and the hem, as it's quite nice and gives a bit of weight to the bottom of the dress. Did I mention pockets? Because pockets! Nice big ones that you can fit all kinds of stuff in. The belt is stylish, too. The only thing to watch out for is that it's bigger than other dresses in the same size I've gotten from HC. Not like "a full size bigger" big, but it is definitely a looser fit than Catriona or Brigid in the same size. If you're looking for a snug fit, you should check the sizing carefully.
